C2.1.l. Can I sign consecutive SEAs that cover a period longer than 12 months?

Yes. However, the period of continuous service on board a ship or ships would still be subject to the applicable national requirements that seafarers be given minimum paid annual leave under Regulation 2.4 and the Code [see C2.4.a.] and the right of a seafarer to be repatriated after a maximum period of service on board (a period less than 12 months) under Standard A2.5.1 [see C2.5.1.a.]. While these are matters for national law and practice, including applicable collective agreements, the maximum period of continuous service on board is, in principle, of 11 months. [see C2.1.j.].
