C1.3.e. Must ships’ cooks be trained?

The MLC, 2006 requires that ships’ cooks be trained and qualified [see C3.2.c.]. In September 2013 an international tripartite meeting of experts met to adopt Guidelines on the training of ships’ cooks. These Guidelines are available on the ILO MLC, 2006 website ⁴⁵ .
